Encourage your child's creativity at this fun 1-hour string art class. 

String art is a craft where participants sew on card and create beautiful geometric designs using an array of colourful threads. Laurie O'Garro has been teaching string art to children for nine years and has a background in teaching. She immediately creates a welcoming environment with her relaxed and respectful air.

Children can't help but have fun in her classes: Laurie makes something that looks complicated thoroughly accessible and enjoyable. Young learners are encouraged to spot and continue patterns in the designs they are working on. They learn how to use a needle threader and love playing with colour.

In this class, we will make greetings cards, which can be kept as a pretty keepsake, or gifted to a family member or best friend.

Once you get the hang of the pattern, you can lose yourself in this meditative activity and before you know it, you’ll have completed what at first glance looks complicated but is in fact a series of repeated stitches.

Each kit is meticulously prepared, with the holes perforated by hand and colourful threads  carefully selected. The kit comes with a 9"x9" mount that is ready taped so that your piece can be framed straight away and put on your wall or given to a loved one.

All kits come with a needle threader and written instructions on how to use it.
